Self Portrait

For my final project, I had to create a self portrait using optical mixtures, flat color, and collage.

The first image is my two keys for my optical mixtures, and the bottom is the final result.

Panel Project

For my sixth assignment, I had to create a panoramic panel project, facilitating colors from a personal image, old master painting, and an object from nature

I was inspired by this illusion piece for my one panel:

For my sixth assignment, I had to create a panoramic panel project, facilitating colors from a personal image, old master painting, and an object from nature.
I selected an image that my mother took of me when I was maybe 3, an El Greco painting, and my terrarium for color inspiration.
I also chose two antonyms to begin, structure to organic.

We had to include aspects to our paintings such as transparency, vibrating edge, overlapping, and deep space/form.

Overall, I'm really pleased with my results!

Assignment 5

For this assignment, we had to create an asymmetrical, linear design containing roughly 18 colors that we chose and includes transparency and media. We then scanned the final painting into photoshop and mirrored the image for the final result.

I was inspired by the shape of these windows:

Polyhedron

For our forth assignment, we created a 3D shape that facilitated color from two complimentary scales. I chose orange to blue and green to violet. I used saturated color on opposite sides of the shape, orange and green, and had gradation of the colors branch out from them. I outlined some of the shapes that held color with black to increase the intensity.
